SUN offers nonstop service to five cities with new spring and summer flights

Sun Valley, Idaho…. Fly Sun Valley Alliance (FSVA), in partnership with Sun Valley Resort and the
Friedman Memorial Airport (SUN), recently announced the SUN airline flight schedule for the 2021
summer and fall season which will offer nonstop flights to five cities – Seattle, Los Angeles, San
Francisco, Denver, and Salt Lake City – with new weekly spring flights to Seattle and increased daily
frequency of flights to Salt Lake City during the summer.

United Airlines will offer nonstop flights from Denver (DEN) daily June 3 through September 6, nonstop
flights from Los Angeles (LAX) twice weekly June 5-27 and daily July 1-Sept 6, and nonstop flights from
San Francisco (SFO) twice weekly week June 4-27 and daily from July 1 through September 6.

Alaska Airlines will now operate its nonstop Seattle (SEA) service to SUN on a year-round basis, with
the addition of Saturday flights in April and May. Daily SEA flights will operate May 20 – Sept 7, and fall
flights will operate on Thursday and Sunday, September 10 through mid-December.

Delta Air Lines, which serves Sun Valley year-round, will offer three daily nonstop flight from Salt Lake
City (SLC) throughout April and May and increase to four daily flights June through early fall.

Fly Sun Valley Alliance Director Carol Waller noted, “By all current indications, air travel demand should be good this summer since people are getting vaccinated and excited to travel, especially to outdoor-
oriented resort destinations like Sun Valley.” Waller said the overall air seat capacity for SUN for the summer period of May through October has increased from summer 2020, when service levels were cut down due to lower demand during the peak of the pandemic.
